Our Legacy
Legacy Projects
In-Dependence
In-dependent is an event to provide breakfast with the groceries collected from the project “Buy One More” to the mentally ill patients of Institute of Mental Health, Kilpauk.
Mottugal
MOTTUGAL is our legacy project done for the welfare for newborn baby and the mother’s. This community service initiative aims at welcoming the newborn babies with unconditional love and make the motherhood feel more special by providing their needs.
JK Samyuktha
J K Samyuktha is a Corporate Cricket Tournament which we organize every year in the memory of J K Samyuktha, a member of our club. The fund raised through this tournament will be donated for a social cause.
Fun Day
Funday is a legacy project where we take the differently-abled people to a movie screening and give them a theater experience like we do.
Phoenix
“Phoenix’24” is an annual Inter Rotaract Cultural Fest that was started in 2003. It is conducted every year by Rotaract Club of Madras Central along with various other clubs to serve the community. In the past years, we extended our support in providing hearing aid, food pipe and shoes to The Spastic Society of Tamil Nadu [SPASTIC], setting up a livelihood for a group of women who have gone through an acid attack, and more.
Follow the Sun
The primary objective of “Follow The Sun” is to challenge and break the preconceived notions and stigmas that society holds regarding HIV. By Directly engaging with affected children, the project aims to alter perceptions and contribute to a more inclusive and understanding community.
Buy One More
“Buy One More” is a simple yet impactful initiative. Our volunteers stand outside supermarkets, encouraging shoppers to purchase an extra item—such as an additional kilogram of rice—to donate. These donations support the project In-dependent, where we provide breakfast for mentally ill patients at the Institute of Mental Health, Kilpauk
Jaunt
“Jaunt” was a club service initiative to create a memorable and enjoyable experience for club members. Where we travelled to Pulicat lake, from there we took a boat to reach an island where we had seafood lunch and engaged in various activities. Afterward, we proceeded to another island where we enjoyed even more, indulging in swimming and having a lot of fun.
